What is La Lonja de la Innovación?
The Innovation Hub is an initiative aimed at boosting the socioeconomic development of the Port of Huelva and the entire Huelva community.
Its facilities will host various initiatives and activities related to the entire digital innovation cycle, from which entrepreneurs, companies, and startups can benefit.
The Innovation Hub will facilitate collaboration between companies, institutions, and entrepreneurs, generating public and private investment to create jobs and highly skilled economic activity in Huelva.

What activities take place at La Lonja de la Innovación?
At La Lonja de la Innovación (The Innovation Exchange), you can access professional and technical services and advice year-round, as well as register for our calls for proposals to access a program of additional resources, services, and activities.
Our Innovation Ecosystem Access Program offers specialized mentors, physical spaces, resources and infrastructure, a network of contacts, access to digital tools, access to private equity funding, media visibility, events, and much more. Check out our bases.
In addition, we offer ongoing individual mentoring, open training courses, events, participation in trade fairs, conferences and workshops, a space with FIWARE infrastructure, showrooms, and much more.

What is FIWARE technology?
FIWARE was born out of the European Union's strategy for the standardization of the Internet of Things. FIWARE technology offers a series of open-source tools based on a standardized protocol, the NGSI protocol, which defines how contextual information is exchanged and accessed. This serves as a homogenizing layer for different information sources, facilitating the processing, analysis, visualization, and security of data, thus breaking down information silos.

Some areas of particular interest for the initiative include: Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, Smart City technologies, products and services, Virtualization, Digital content, Energy and sustainability, Security, Industry 4.0, Blockchain, Products, services and applications based on FIWARE technology, Ports, Maritime transport, Logistics services, Smart warehouses, Smart trade, Smart transport, Port services and agency, Customs and customs procedures.

Who is behind La Lonja de la Innovación?
The Technological Innovation Hub is promoted and supported by the Port Authority of Huelva, Telefónica, and FIWARE, a technology promoted by the European Union through the Connecting Europe Facilities initiative.

What does La Lonja's Acceleration Program offer?
The Acceleration Program works individually with participating companies through a methodology supported by a team of mentors comprised of executives and entrepreneurs from the technology sector.
The program lasts 4+4 months, with the possibility of extension, and is subject to continuous evaluation.
Currently, applications are open until March 16th. After an initial pre-selection of candidates, projects that pass this stage will be able to present their projects in person to a professional selection committee during the week of March 20th.
This committee will be composed of representatives from Telefónica, the Port Authority of Huelva, the management team of the coworking space, mentors from the initiative, and other members of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The selection of startups participating in the program will be based on the project's use of technology, value proposition, market potential, project maturity, viability, degree of innovation, and business opportunity.

What are the benefits of the Startup Acceleration Program?
The selected projects will benefit from specialized and renowned mentors and advisors, a physical space with the necessary resources and infrastructure to develop the acceleration process, the opportunity to be part of the global innovation ecosystem where they can connect with other entrepreneurs and organizations, access to a catalog of exclusive offers to develop the business through Open Future's digital tools, access to private equity funding, media visibility and access to events that facilitate networking, support from Telefónica for validation and commercialization of the projects through a specialized professional network, etc.
